Workshop: Science Through Story

Engaging Broad Audiences

with Sara ElShafie

October 26th @ GitHub San Francisco

Eventbrite - ART+TECH Festival [2018]

Science is a search for evidence, but science communication is a search for meaning. Nothing makes content more meaningful than a good story. Drawing inspiration from creative processes used in the film industry, this workshop will offer tools to help you share your science, tech, or any other content with the public in any space through effective storytelling. Using examples from both popular films and scientific studies, we will explore how to humanize a subject through story development and draw in broad audiences through visual storytelling.
