Anders Nelson - CODAME Featured Fashiontech Industry Insider
Anders Nelson became interested in lighting after building his first lightbulb at age 7. At age 11 his first LED-based project used an interactive array controlled by reed switches and a magnet. He ultimately found his passion through a Valentine’s day gift he built in 2001 that introduced him to the world of embedded electronics, a pursuit that led to his first truly wearable graphic display in 2005. An avid listener to disco-house music, Anders continually molds Erogear’s roadmap to provide greater interactivity, expression and connection between people. Anders grew up in southeast Michigan and now lives in central San Francisco, CA.
Anders will take us into the world of wearable LED display development. Erogear's new RG5 platform consists of both a hardware and software element. The hardware is an extremely thin and flexible LED display encased in fabric, capable of receiving real-time graphic streams wirelessly. The software is a code library that provides video processing, networked device management and a simple but flexible API. Any imagery an application can create can be sent to the RG5 panels instantly and jitter-free. RG5 platform is a medium for expression that can be put to creative, and even life saving use.
Meet Anders at our CODAME FASHION+MUSIC Event June 26th, 2013 from 7pm-2am at Public Works, San Francisco.
