Skin is an interactive live performance that uses real time audiovisuals and projection mapping.
The audiovisuals are composed of biological digital textures of endangered species. This textures are projected onto performers and change in real time according to their movement using depth map analysis.
The performers' movements explore the transformation of an amoeba into human beings.
This project is part of the Microbial skins series, a series of works that intend to extend a metaphor, a retracting hypothesis, and an imaginary state that relates to the multilayered evolutionary state of our symbiotic relation with flora, fauna and microscopic organisms.
This performance proposes to extend the meditation of what it means to be a human being in the twenty-first century.
