CODAME 2012 “dimensions” drawing contest winners

We are looking forward to our event at Adobe San Francisco this Friday December 14th, where we are pleased to introduce the two winners of our live drawing contest.

This year’s CODAME “dimensions” drawing contest was pretty surreal in that it included black lights, glowing paint, and chromadepth 3D glasses which provided a psychedelic 3D viewing experience.  If you aren’t familiar with chromadepth, it allows different colors to take up different locations in space where blue is in the background, yellow is in the middle, and red is in the foreground.  This certainly was a unique experience both for the artists and for the viewers.

There were many great works to chose from, but here are our lucky winners:

Best Deep Dimension Award

The winner of the deep dimension award goes to designer, and DJ Todd Kurnat (aka circuit 73) for his 3D grid that really brought out the magic of chromadepth.  A special thanks goes out to Adobe Systems for providing Todd with a copy of Creative Suite 6.

Best Far-Out Feature Spirit Award

Our award to the most “far-out” 3D drawing goes to illustrator Ben Collision.  His 3D lion creation was great to look at with normal light and eyes and became alive once you strapped on the 3D glasses.  For Ben’s work, he was awarded a new Android Tablet compliments of Lanica, Inc.

Thanks to all that participated in this event, and we look forward to seeing everybody on the 14th of December!
