Hung Keung è un artista, ricercatore, studioso e designer di media digitali di fama internazionale.
Dal 1995, l’artista è attivamente coinvolto nella creazione e nella ricerca di film, video e arte digitale. Nel campo delle attività accademiche e innovative, la sua ricerca di dottorato si è concentrata sulla riappropriazione dell'arte cinese nel contesto dei media digitali, esplorando lo sviluppo teorico e le pratiche creative. I suoi importanti articoli di ricerca accademica, poster e progetti sperimentali sono stati pubblicati ed esposti in varie riviste accademiche internazionali, mostre, biennali e conferenze internazionali.
I primi film e video sperimentali del professor Hung Keung hanno ricevuto premi come il Gold Award, il Jury's Special Award (Categoria Video) e l'Outstanding Award agli Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards dal 1998 al 1999. Ha anche ricevuto riconoscimenti attraverso numerosi premi internazionali, tra cui essere il primo artista cinese a ricevere lo "Special Mention Interactive CD-ROM Award" all'International New Media Arts Festival in Grecia e lo "Special Award for New Media" in Croazia. Ha anche vinto il "Best Short Ambient Video Award" al BBC British Film Festival, il "Best of EMAF" all'European Media Art Festival, il Gold Award all'International Invention Innovation Competition e all'International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva.
Hung è stato premiato due volte con il premio Artist of the Year (Media Art) dall'Hong Kong Arts Development Council (ADC). Hung Keung is an internationally renowned artist, researcher, scholar and designer of digital media.
Since 1995, he has been actively involved in the creation and research of film, video and digital art. In the field of academic and innovative activities, his doctoral research focused on the reappropriation of Chinese art in the context of digital media, exploring theoretical development and creative practices. His important academic research papers, posters and experimental projects have been published and exhibited in various international academic journals, exhibitions, biennials and international conferences.
Professor Hung Keung's early experimental films and videos received awards such as the Gold Award, Jury's Special Award (Video Category) and Outstanding Award at the Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards from 1998 to 1999. He has also received recognition through numerous international awards, including being the first Chinese artist to receive the ‘Special Mention Interactive CD-ROM Award’ at the International New Media Arts Festival in Greece and the ‘Special Award for New Media’ in Croatia.
