Ca' Foscari Postdoctoral Fellowship
A 2025 postdoctoral fellowship at the Marco Polo Centre, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, to write a book on how fish skin garments, and the tanning, dyeing and sewing behind them, circulated among the Nivkh, Nanai, Hezhe and Ainu from the Lower Amur River to Sakhalin Island. The book centres the expertise of the Indigenous women who made them.
