[Christian Nielsen](/artists/christian-nielsen) turned the whole cast into Harry Styles and piled on even more watermelon. It's ridiculous. It works. A quick reminder of what he's remixing: released May 18, 2020, directed by Bradley & Pablo and shot on the beach in Malibu, the original "Watermelon Sugar" video landed with a dedication: "This video is dedicated to touching." The timing mattered as much as the visuals. The world was a few months into a pandemic that had shut down physical contact, and Styles put hand-holding, hair-stroking, and strawberry-feeding on screen like it was the most decadent thing imaginable, because for a lot of people watching, it was. Surrounded by more watermelon than any reasonable gathering needs, the video became a stand-in for touch itself: warm, playful, a little indulgent. If you haven't seen it, watch the original first.
