Nothing makes content more meaningful than a good story. Drawing inspiration from creative processes used in the film industry, this workshop will offer tools to help you share your science, tech, or any other content with the public in any space through effective storytelling. Using examples from both popular films and scientific studies, we will explore how to humanize a subject through story development and draw in broad audiences through visual storytelling. In this hands-on workshop, you will: Learn effective communication strategies grounded in film story art methods, cognition research, narrative theory, and graphic design. Explore and articulate your professional motivations through these strategies. Develop your own story for use in the context of your choosing.
