Erika Buzzo | BE AI Studio

Erika Buzzo is an Italian creative director, artist, and founder of BE AI Studio, a multidisciplinary practice exploring artificial intelligence as a cultural, critical, and creative medium. Her work spans visual art, music, strategic design, and emerging technologies, investigating authorship, identity, and human perception in digitally mediated systems. Her artistic journey began at art high school and evolved through music, interior design, and marketing. With over 25 years of experience in music and seven years as a Marketing Director, she brings together artistic research and strategic thinking. Her practice approaches AI not as a shortcut or novelty, but as a language that reshapes creative expression, authorship, and power. Between 1996 and 2016, she worked as a singer-songwriter and composer, performing across Italy and developing original musical projects. After stepping away from the stage in 2016, she transitioned into corporate strategy, specializing in positioning, omnichannel planning, and analytical frameworks. In January 2025, her encounter with AI-generated music led to **MAIA**, a hybrid creative project conceived in opposition to narratives of speed and automation. Through rigorous sonic identity development, visual storytelling, and strategic positioning, MAIA gained national media coverage, demonstrating the role of human vision and expertise in AI-driven cultural production. Her work has received recognition across AI-native and traditional platforms, including third place at the **AI Design Awards 2025**. Her visual series ***Digital Integrity***, exploring epistemic and cultural erosion in algorithmic systems, was selected for ***CreAItiva AI Art Book Vol. 9***. She was also selected for ***CreAItiva AI Art Book Vol. 10*** with *FLATHINK* and participated in **Cluster**, a project presented in connection with **London Design Week**, with *Athar*.
